Are You Managing Your Business Creatively?
In my experience most people in general and business owners in particular, don't build in the time to allow themselves to think creatively. And I'm not talking just about traditional creativity in terms of writing, music etc; I am talking about the chance to take a step back to look at things with a different perspective; to think about thinks strategically; to plan and decide away from the day to day rush of simply doing.
Covey calls all this "sharpening the saw" and to me it’s all about choosing your direction; it’s the difference between operating effectively rather than just efficiently; it’s the difference between important and urgent.
