My number one on the most "unwanted" list...

Mercury

1- Mercury – this is found in most Cod Liver Oils. This is because the oil is derived from the LIVER of fish, and as we know this organ deals with toxins. In most marine life, the waste is Mercury from the seabed. Fine for fish, not for humans.
We ingest therefore mercury when taking such high concentration oils from the fish liver.
Mercury is also highly present in tin tuna, so avoid too much of this type of fish if possible. Fresh and other oily fish such as mackerel and salmon are in my opinion healthier choices.

There are “good” omegas and fish oils supplements available, for example those where fished in less polluted waters (the Arctic sea rather than North Sea) and oils derived from fish flesh not liver. Those not using harsh chemical to stabilise, but rather natural alternatives..The above methods all combine to reduce the level of mercury and pollution in the end product that we ingest.

Good fish oils/omegas may serve us by: Reducing cholesterol, lubricating joints, helping our brain, reducing depression and creating healthy skin.
Contact me if you want more details on good fish oils or how to use them for above conditions.
