Mindmapping. Gimmick or effective tool?

Unlocking brains!

I have been doing one-to-one mind mapping consultancy since Christmas as part of the training services I offer. The mind is truly amazing and I am helping unlock potential in my clients' brains in so many ways by listening and facilitating the process. It would not be an exaggeration to say this has transformed the way people think and work.

So what is mind mapping?

I came across this report recently, which explains mind mapping very well.

Millions of people the world over are discovering mind mapping and using it to great effect. I now consider it an essential tool to help me work more effectively and creatively. Mind mapping is especially good for people who struggle because of dyslexia, as it uses a whole brain approach, thereby tapping into the visual, the spatial and the creative more than traditional list-based ways of thinking. It is a fantastic tool to help anyone use whole-brain thinking.
