Do's and donts of your Business Facebook Page

Your Website and your Facebook Page are your Company/Business shop window

They say SO MUCH about your Company.

So when someone lands on that Page for whatever reason, their first impressions MATTER!! When it comes to your Facebook Page (and indeed your webpage) do it properly or take it down You may not feel its important, but I can assure you that the discerning public of today will be looking for a Facebook presence, to show off the Social side of that company. What's the company been up to this week/month?, what offers do they have on? what stories of customer satisfaction are there? (Ideally written by the customer on a really interactive Page!) .

Have you noticed the TV adverts lately, all ending with 'Follow us with Twitter' and 'Find us on Facebook'? We all know that so much 'shopping' of every type is researched on line. Facebook is a big part of that research.

What do I mean by 'doing it properly'?

Like everything in life there is a right and a wrong way to do things. To make the most of any visitor to your Facebook Page, you MUST get the basics in place before attempting to get traffic/visitors.

A 'Great' Timeline Cover Picture to make an impact – no adverts, calls to action, email address etc

A properly sized Profile Picture – so many get this wrong and dont seem to care!

Interesting colour coordinated Page Tabs

A Welcome Page – THE MOST IMPORTANT PART OF THE PAGE
NO they are not dead... DONT LISTEN to those people!

In the meantime, please ask yourself these serious questions when you look at your Page:-

1. Does this Page give me a reason to come back again?

2. What value is this Page offering that visitor?

3. Does it look boring? Is it all writing? Are there any pictures in the posts?

4. Could this Page be putting people OFF my Company?

If you dont get the basics right, you will be wasting an opportunity to capture visitor details. More on the basics next time (SO IMPORTANT!)
