Since I started the business I have always based my websites around the colour green, just because the Excel logo is green.

However, I'm trying to come up with a new design for my site that is both corporate looking and web 2.0 in feel. Green just doesnt seem to fit in that plan.

So I will open it up, what are your corporate colours and why did you pick them?

Yellow. Green is also good, though.

Frankly, anything but blue works for me.

Orange - but I chose the name first and the colour was obvious from that.

Did try a shade which was more red but that looked far too corporate for the image I wanted.

Purple. People do sometimes wonder if there is a connection between purple as a royal colour and my surname, but it was really just because I've always loved purple, and I thought that if I couldn't use it for my own business, when could I use it? Smiley

At the moment orange is sticking in my mind for my colour. (Maybe its because my Mrs and my daughter are both gingers)

Blue and Red. Tried a few other schemes when starting, but it's the only one that seemed to "work".

Mine is orange and I use yellow as a secondary colour quite often. Chose them primarily because I like them, but also did a bit of research into colour psychology. Orange has shown to positively affect the emotional state and is a really good anti depressant - it makes people feel good about themselves. Yellow makes people more alert and decisive and is linked to clear thinking, decision-making and productive working - these are the effects that I want my clients to see in themselves & their businesses after they've been working with me!! It might all be a load of mumbo jumbo, but I don't see the harm in giving it a go...!

I like blue, but the name kind of forced that.

Or I'm just being lazy and coming up with excuses :)

Blue and Green - depending on who we're targeting our  material may sometimes also have green.

Our thinking was - we don't want to look like other financial/funding/software companies.

business and bling provides entrepreneurs with free online business plan software and business plan templates before we start matching them with Investors.

Blue white and red. Wonder why...

Blue because I specialize a little in the nautical sector but I am considering getting a new website and changing stuff. There is a bit of a shift, not doing much nautical these days.

Colour theory is a very interesting subject.
Also how it relates to a purchasing decisions..

Here's a great blog post over at Kissmetrics > http://blog.kissmetrics.com/color-psychology/

How do colors affect purchases?
