Decoy Ploy at Chelmsford Golf Club

Another people packed, energy enhanced, 4N meeting at Chelmsford Golf Club.  I find the whole experience envigorating and sometimes difficult to come down from when we have all gone our separate ways.

John Wild gave us a most entertaining 4Sight, delivered with pace, panache, purpose and pertinency.....can anyone come up with another 'p' word?

 Well done on ensuring we all understood the 'Decoy Ploy' and how to ethically use this in business, albeit only a minority agreed to this as an ethical approach.  Note: All at Colchester were on board with this approach.....what does that say about the two groups?

Re 1 to 1's >>>>> Thanks to Jessi ( we must do a duet, ) plus Sarah for making it a threesome, Tony ( your advice was invaluable ) and Alex ( I need the kiss of life ).

The next meeting will be offering something a little different so please make sure you respond to Charlie's e-mail in a timely manner.

Great meeting this morning.  Lovely to go to (get in at) Chelmsford and I was met with a warm welcome, as always, by Charlie.

It’s the second time I’ve see John Wild’s 4sight and still found it really interesting and amusing in equal measures, you are a great entertainer John.  Next time I will remember the percentages, I will,  I will..……

1. David Kilpatrick of iTEXS interesting discussion on different sales methods that work for our businesses.
2. John Wild where we engaged in a deep debate to the differences of various networking cultures (and generally  ‘gossiped’)
3. Dani Mayher & Andrew Dronsfield  of Austin Clarke who takes recruitment (sorry Search and Selection) to a more professional level than anyone I’ve ever spoken to in that industry – very impressive.

Last, but not least, rounded off the meeting with a girlie session planning a variety of soirées (one of which Chris mentioned)  –  purely, in order to adhere to the 50% social rule you understand

Talking of socialising, 4NColchester is planning a Christmas ‘Do’ and your input/ideas would be appreciated by the team.

Like Helen it was my 2nd time hearing Johns 4sight and I meant to let him know that I have since used the decoy technique in at least one quote and it had the desired outcome! So 4N is really great at giving hints and tips!

Wow I could be here all day - oh no I can't - (panto theme!), I've a client to meet. So for now my thanks go to 4N Chelmsford for introducing me to 4N over 17 months ago! Long may it continue as I know the business relationships I'm building will!

Well done to John Wild on a fantastic 4sight. This 'Decoy Ploy', I now get it! This must be the reason why I buy family bags of crisps, family bars of chocolate and tins rather than boxes of Quality Street ..... when I DON'T even have a family!!!!  mmmm? (or maybe I'm just a greedy g**?)

Kevin Smith of VIP Design - we both seem to have a very similar attitude towards business and believe in 'quality rather quantity'
Oliver Brock of it'seeze - great concept and see many benefits
.....and a three some with Dani Mayher, and Helen Putman of Combat Pests. (What a fantastic 40sec RAP Helen.... Well Done!) and thanks for the valuable advice relating to mice in the garage eating the birds seed (not my garage I hasen to add!!!) 

Never a chance of a boring 4N in Chelmsford, just the problem of booking in..... so book now for 2012!!!!!

ParTICularly fantastic meeting today.  Great 1-2-1's with Charlie Brown, Paul Smalley and Kim Parker.  I think Paul has the best kept secret in business.....how to have a remote multi-skilled office team working on your business in the background, behaving like your bespoke personnell and all of them understanding your business but actually not employed by you. Great concept Paul.  I wouldn't have realised that was what you did had I not had that 1-2-1 with you - so thanks to the 4n business model which is also an amazing model for networking and doing business.

Thanks also for accepting my 'coming out' today!  Have been working with another inspiring 4ner to get my marketing and business strategy right and his suggestion was quite simply that I come out of the closet on what I'm trying to do with the business.  Feels more honest actually.  Strange how many layers of personality you shed as you grow in business.

And also great 4sight with John.  Real food for thought.  Some stuff I can immediately study and apply to my business.  Thanks alot John.

Get ready for my coming out, I mean, stepping out 4sight next time round.......Thanks Chris for paving the way.

Brilliant meeting - with Mr Pink doing his 'luvvy' role for our showbiz guest beautifully!

I had a great time and lots of lovely chats with Mags, Robert and Christine (I'm digging out training room info).

Can someone please explain to the catering staff that offering such a scrumptious continental breakfast is cruel to those of us who aren't allowed to eat most of it!!!?

What can I say - just outstanding, so much energy in the room.  With so much gloom in the media and 'out there' in general we know the place for optimism.

Helen, should you ever give up hunting down those varmits, there's a career writing and performing.  I've suggested to Sally that 4N Colchester retain you to write a Rap Panto.  Mmm - if we recorded it and popped it on YouTube, it could go viral and your fame would be assured.

Andrew - was so impressed at the end of the meeting when you were surrounded by so many lovely ladies - helpng them discuss their night out.  What's your secret?  You may have given it way - you can't resist offers.

Thanks to Charlie, Sally and Joni for really useful 121s - always something to learn and a laugh to be had.

I can't wait for Jenny's dancing 4Sight next time.  Jenny, I'm an elephant with 4 left feet.  If you can get them working in sync, you're a great teacher (now there's a a challenge).

Firstly thanks to Roger, Stella and Sam for the 1-2-1's I had with you all.

I certainly enjoyed the foresight by John. Has got me thinking about decoys, to start looking out for them more on my rounds.A

I seem to be getting into the habit of being a bit late for 4N Chelmsford. This means that when I arrive everything is in full swing and I am hit straight away with so much energy and enthusiam - now that's the way to start your day!!
