Shareaholic broken links on sitemap generator
| Posted: 1st Dec 2011 - 12:33 Quote | |
I am currently using online version of sitemap generator but it's currently showing 132 broken links which appear to be caused by Shareaholic when I look at the source code. I did solve this previously by turning off the plug in and then running the sitemap generator but it sort of defeats the object, anyone else had the same issue, anyone got a fix? Denise |

Denise The issue you seem to have is the amount of links generated from a database driven list of pages on your site. I'm guessing it is a Joomla platform and if so, I would use the standard one on that platform. Any problems, gimme a call on number below. |

No it's a wordpress site, I'm about to deactivate the plugin again to see if that helps, but doesn't solve the problem of link sharing Denise |

Ive found why you have broken links, just cannot see how they were generated that way |

Shareaholic seems to be causing a number of issues recently. I installed the Chrome plugin and all of a sudden my router thought it was in the US - I could watch american TV online and the BBC site had adverts included (which only happens if you view it from abroad). Uninstalled and everything went back to normal |

I previously used Supercache and that caused a problem, I removed it, the current problem is caused by Shareaholic |

At the bottom of the source code is a link through to a file which is reporting this issue on every page. I'm wondering if that is the problem. You may have to completely delete the plugin |

It was a problem, there is no code or links in there any longer though, will delete it but its not the current problem, have turned off shareaholic and now the rogue links aren;t showing in the code, just need something else to replace it. Thanks for the help though <!-- WP Super Cache is installed but broken. The path to wp-cache-phase1.php in wp-content/advanced-cache.php must be fixed! --> |
