% appears where there's a space - remove the spaces, I think it should be fine :)

Go to Settings > permalinks
Select the 'default' permalink
Click 'save changes'
Then click 'custom structure' and paste in /%postname%
Click 'save changes'

What this does is re-write your htaccess commands to the new settings.

When I did this for one of my sites, I used this permalinks migration plugin to handle the structure change so that any links to the old pages didn't break.

Every link works apart from the portfolio interior section. Will try that Trevor

Hi Stuart

Are you using a custom post type for the portfolios or is it a series of pages

If you would like me to go in and have a gander, then I am happy too.

Stuart: just checked the site itself and getting a "parse error" when it loads (or tries to load).

Whatever you've done recently has broken something with the theme - it would be worth talking to one of the Wordpress gurus on the site to get that sorted asap.

Hi, was this problem resolved. I searched for bigwhitespace - clicked on the first link Google gave me and got a 404.

You may want to implement the redirect plugin for www.thebigwhitespace.com/portfolio/big-white-space/
