Answer.co.uk is a Pay As You Go Telephone Answering Service and is part of JAM (established 1977).
Previous to now our argument for charging for all calls other than wrong numbers/hoax calls was the bonus credits provided for any deposit of £50 or more. Whilst that very much still remains in place (especially for our December Offer), we have put in a new feature to deal with Sales Calls.
Instead of placing the onus on our operators to judge what constitutes a cold call and what not, our method is to give our clients the power to make those decisions and claim any refunds.
These messages are passed to our quality control team to be checked, and there are reasonable limits in place for this feature. If a dialling code is presented again that matches the spam call, it will be blocked. If the number is withheld we will build up a spam database to help us in future.
At present it is only available for Answer clients but we do intend to roll this out for our other services in due course.
