Man... I had to force myself to not work over the Xmas break.. The temptation was to get stuck back into work... But I recognised that the natural break was as good an opportunity to recharge batteries as it was going to get. And I so glad I did... I feel great. Ready to roll in 2012. Anyone else feel the same? |

Mmmm, didn't have your resolve Brad. I have just spent a sunny Christmas & New Year in Tenerife and although I didn't take a laptop or ipad for poolside use I did resort to Blackberry and hotel internet almost daily. In my defence it's because of The BIG Gorilla (he made me do it guv). it's the most exciting and interesting business I've set up, so planning and thinking time was required. Back in the UK now and delighted that 2012 will be the year of The BIG Gorilla. |

Definitely - first time in about 5 years that I've taken time out like that. I've still worked, but when I wanted to and on the stuff I wanted to do. Feel a hell of a lot better, more focused and more prepared for 2012. The "getting back into it" is feeling a bit of a slog though, don't think the horrendous whether and our boiler being broke (and therefore more temptation to stay in bed) is helping! No doubt like a lot of people this week will be a bit groggy, then firing on all cylinders after that |

We've had a fantastic break as a family, the 1st time in a long time. We did do a little bit of work but only because i've got soooo excited about 2012.
2012 is going to be the best year yet Happy new year everyone xx |

I didn't have to force myself, unfortunately was in the position of no choice but do very little but had work to do where I am having to call clients and grovel this morning. One thing Brad says 'there is no cavalry' reminded me I need a back up plan to stop this happening in the future. Denise |

I HATED getting up this morning. However a completely mental morning has already dusted off the holiday cobwebs. Still feel groggy like Mimo said, but by the beginning of next week there will be a huge rocket firing from my ass. Watch out 2012.... |

Also I'm sorry to hear that your boiler has no money. Unless you meant it was broken.

Worked at quarter pace throughout - highly, highly profitable. Working at eigth pace today as others rush around catching up. Each to their own. |

For once I had a real week off with the wife and kids just answering a few personal calls. Loved it! |

Struggled to switch my brain off from business for lots of it. kept getting odd enquiry that stopped a total break. Now struggling to jump start it today. Will be fine tomorrow I am sure. Trying to do some planning so actually doing valuable work whilst the world spins up to speed. |

I only came back today, thought I would stretch it that bit longer! Had a great time off, I feel that people have less holidays these days so when Christmas comes, the country really does slow down, first time for a proper break this year. Was meant to do lots over the festive period, but spent much needed time with family instead and feel great about that. Loving being back at the desk today and feel really motivated and ready to go. 2012 will be a great year! |

Managed to make myself switch off - not something I'm very good at doing. Had to lock iphone in a draw and put SIM in an old handset in order to ensure I didn't get sucked in to looking at e-mails. Just about managed to relax and guess what, everyone got along very nicely without me putting my oar in every five minutes! |
