Like Brad and his moped dominos episode.... I have been on an ITV set today as an extra. Started this a few years ago while working for the police. An ex bobby has an agency supplying 'police extras' to TV shows to do the job they are trained for... Eg PC's, firearms officers, SOCO's etc... Just interested to hear what other 4N'ers have done or are doing in the early days of biz.... |

I worked in a library doing back office duties (ordering books, setting up reading lists etc.) - full-time until I set Libro up in Aug 2009 and onwards until Dec 2010, then part time through 2011, going full-time with Libro in mid-December. It felt right to me to do a soft launch like this so I could support myself while building the business. But it's great to be full-time! |

I was fortunate not to have one - I sold off all of my online properties and businesses which gave me a hefty lump sum to get me going and provide a safety net for when I launched my business proper. Saying that, having this safety net made me complacent, it was only when the pot started dwindling that I kicked myself up the arse. |

Lettering for trade show signs, anybody remembers Letraset? Taught me a fair deal about typography, still useful know-how today. |

For the first few months I went back to my old job of driving busses, actually it ended up being more school run coaches and a few excursions. It was as much as anything to get me out of the house in the mornings while there was very little else going on. |

Road Transport either as a driver or a transport operator, it means guaranteed money coming in, but also far to many hours at work, making the biz side part time. juggling time can be a challenge. |
