This was a sports presentation night with so called stars and stuff. For the proletariat. I didn't get it.

They used to do it at the Chamber of Commerce brekkie in Cornwall. I was half way through my second sausage by the time it finished!

mind you i've been know to do that in family restaurants with no religous mandate on display at all so i s'pose there's no real surprise there...

on a more serious note, you could've actually pointed out that enforcing religous practices is against the geneva convention and have them all arrested for civil rights infringement.

They must have been Evertonian's and have obviosuly worked out that they cannot possibly be in fourth place (above the city's proper football club) without some divine intervention.

i dunno man, i have no real problem with it, just seems a bit weird is all. if it was a church bash then yeah, you'd expect it but just some kinda fund raiser...? it's all a bit "this is what i believe and it's my party so there" for me.
