It's that time of year again, time for some 'friendly' banter between the Nations: COME ON IRELAND......

I'm English. Mum's family are Irish, Dad's are Welsh. I unashamedly change allegiance to suit.

Lots of shouting at the telly and Ireland definitely have the best anthem.

Even after their dismal performance at the World Cup, I'm still a believer! C'mon England!!

... I have a wager with an Irish friend; hoping that England manage to score more tries than them throughout the course of the tournament as I'm not hugely optimistic that the home advantage on St Paddys' day will be enough... COME ON ENGLAND!!!!

It's a close call this year! Always interested to see most people back two teams in our household we have an Anglo/Irish and an Anglo/Welsh pairing so banter a plenty!

Agree with Stef Ireland have the best anthem but a mile always stirs things up plus I also know alternative versions of the French and Welsh anthems which are always good value.

Bring it on I say......

Stef you are just like my young nephews, their mother (my sister) being Irish, their dad Welsh and they are English, but only when it suits them. I've done my best to convert them to Irish loyalty but it all changes mid tournament.

And yes we do have the best anthem, get my hairs standing every time I hear it, my young Son (Oskar age 5) loves singing/shouting the chorus with me.

Not sure how we will fair this year, no BOD and now no Earl, but lets hope the luck of the Irish is with them on St Paddy's day in Twickenham, it would just be wrong to lose on the patron Saints day.

IRELAND, IRELAND, together STANDING STRONG:)

Emma - I have one of your pens from the Corrs Corner meet. I shall wave it at the telly during the Anthem.

There is only one Antham, come on Flower of Scotland. Let's send the English homeward to think again. England were lucky in World Cup. Tomorrow in front of a full house at Murrayfield they won't be so lucky!

Being an Englishman, that spent most of his formative years growing up in Germany, with a Welsh mother and a dislike of rugby and now living in the heart of the Welsh valleys, the Six Nations is nothing but a pain.

Train services are all over the place, Cardiff is full of cheering supporters etc.

Victor Meldrew moment over now

well I'd better chuck in some support for England on the basis that they remember how the game is played and say sober.

You could just do what Ireland have done and insist on playing 2 anthems. It's a good compromise that ensures almost nobody is happy. Ireland's Call is an horrific tune.

Well, there you go, first weekend over.

Scotland should have beaten England

Wales deserved their win over Ireland

France, well, all over Italy in the end.

Wales for the Slam!!!:)
