I am despirately trying to get it up the google rankings :-) as we dont rank anywhere at the moment :-(. armed with my trusty google book im taking on the big boys....ok might be over selling it a wee bit but its more fun if it sounds dramatic..... my book says backlinking is good but places I have looked at on the internet say that Reciprocal links i.e if you put one on your site and ill put on on mine are a big no no?

Just a quick note browsing some posts here.. What are you coding in? I looked at a view source and it seems extreamly over complex for what you have. In reference to SEO issues, you might find it easier to use <h1> tags for each page heading and <p> tags for your text. All im seeing is span classes everwhere with a div class also, not very friendly to the bots crawling round.

Here is a snippet of my code:

<div class="rss floatleft mtop6">
<h1 class="pleft18 pright10 fontsize11 bold">
<a href="http://drsolutions.wordpress.com/2008/02/14/a-look-at-mobile-product-management-development/" title="A look at mobile product management & development" class="bluelight underline-hover" rel="externallink">A look at mobile product management ...</a>
</h1>
<h2 class="pleft18 pright10 normal fontsize10 greymedium">

</h2>
<p class="pleft18 pright10 fontsize10">
Authored by Ewan - SMS Text News
Ed Cave h ...
</p>
</div>

This may help alot with things, drop me an email if you would like to discuss further.

Hmmm, crazy cms :| - If you are good at coding, try TinyMCE - it is basically word online, it comes in PHP or .NET and is quite easy to implement. The code outputted in the new version is also W3C compliant also !

With W3C compliancy your site will be read easily by most bots and seo becomes an easy job over a period of time, without it bots can simply skip it as it can seem like a random generated site.

http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.red-wasp.co.uk%2F

As you can see your site needs to drop the cms, or you need to re-build it.

I hope im not being to forward with the information, but if you want to progress as per your comments these tips need to be taken seriously.

As per Stuart's comments below, the site looks great by the way

what do you think??

Not to sure where you coming from on the single page.

With your layout being simple, i cannot see it taking more than say 3 - 5 hours re-coding the whole thing.

I would try breaking the header, right column and footer into seperate files. You can then include them in each page you make for main content, this will then give you access to write 1 single div containing all your h1 tags for headings and p tags for paragraphs.

I hope this helps, i would suggest going to www.drsolutions.co.uk/1/ and doing a view source and see how our pages are structured, note they are all W3C compliant.
