Hi,

Wondered if anyone knew of an easy to use E-mail Marketing solution.

I have to send  a few hundred e-mails and have the  intention to commence quarterly e-mail newssheets etc to those addresses.

The e-mails are currently cloging up my contacts list despite being in distribution lists

Wondered if anyone had a recommendation as there appear to be lots of various solutions out there

Many thanks

Allison Hendry

Hi Allison,

It really depends on what you are sending and where you have obtained the data from.

Feel free to call me for a chat and I can explain the various options we tried and the one we ended up with.

Hi Alison,

with those numbers MailChimp would be free. It is the indutry standard, easy to use, gives everyone an unsubscribe button and let's you see who has read it etc. There are many MailChimp users both on the forum and other web forum's to give you help/ advice.

Kind regards,
   Simon.

Hi Alison,

Another vote for mailchimp.

One problem you may run into though is if your list has a lot of info@, admin@ type email addresses as mailchimp won't accept them unless you add them one by one! If that's the case you may be better with Constant Contact - probably as good as mailchimp but doesn't look as nice.

Lots of people also swear by http://www.aweber.com/

Cheers

Simon

Hi Allison,

I've used Constant Contact, Aweber and Mailchimp at various times.

Unless you have some very specific needs then I would recommend Mailchimp as it's easy to use and will be free for your list size and frequency.

Feel free to get in touch if you want a chat about any aspect of email marketing.

Hi Allison

I use either constant contact or aweber.  Both very good.  Give me a call if you need any assistance.

+1 for Mailchimp from me for anyone wishing to DIY.  Free option is great as long as you don't mind the little Mailchimp logo in the footer of every email...

This is a bugbear of mine as it just screams "cheapskate" and potentially devalues your brand.  For a small outlay of $10 you can get rid of the chimp!
