With 8 days to go, we have 28 people booked and 4 visitors for Cracking Cwmbran!

The 4sight promises to be inspiring and fascinating, as Martin Evans of Azionamento, a Bloodhound SSC Ambassador, will be bringing us news of the progress of this incredible project aiming to break the land speed record and push it to 1000mph! The car is being designed and built in Bristol, and is headed by Richard Noble, a previous record holder. Martin will let us know about the aims of the project, share some technical details that will blow our minds, and will let us know how we could get involved.

All this talk of speed got me thinking about other speed facts... Did you know that a domestic cat can sprint at about 31 miles per hour?

Book in here for the best Tuesday business breakfast in Wales, and feel free to share your speed facts below!

This is a brilliant 4sight and one not to be missed as I saw it at Mighty Monmouth when I took along one 1/2 of Kevin and Perry, who thoroughly enjoyed it too and now wants to drive that car instead of joining the army!

I look forward to seeing it again next week!

Giles, is that because the earth revolves at over 1000mph?

The fastest dog is not a Greyhound but is in fact a Cape Hunting Dog which can reach 45mph (Usain Bolt 23mph). My Cairn can go pretty fast but only for about 10 metres or until the squirrel gets up the tree (he did catch one once, terrible noise & mess but that's another story). Then he needs a sleep.

Did you know the the Peregrine Falcon is the fastest bird that dives headfirst down through the sky? They can travel up to 200mph, but still not a patch on Bloodhound SSC...

According to the Interwebnet Pandas can only go at 15mph top speed...always thought Fiats were a bit quicker than that.

Pandas are, at least, faster than Sloths, who travel at a mere 0.15 mph!

If you're stood on or close to the equator, that is. On the other hand a mate of mine can move faster than that, when it's his round. Tongue Out
