Still reeling from the news, yet memories keep coming to mind Night out with Denise, Dave McCarry, mark Bryant and Katie Millman in Newcastle, Denise went to the bar to get a round, and like a trooper battled back through a heavy crowd miraculously balancing several pints and bottles, only to spill the lot the second she reached the table! Remember her stonewalling my attempts to wind her up as me and mark Bryant accompanied her on her first ever flight en route to 4NX10, where after arriving we ended up spending 3hrs sitting in a garage while brad got his tyres changed - I was pissing and moaning, Denise had a smile on her face the whole time! She got her own back though, taking way too much pleasure in tormenting me as i drove her and paul waite from Birmingham to Newcastle after we'd spent all day getting shot to pieces at the 4N paintball meetup I still remember when she told me she had cancer, quite nonchalantly outside the 4N Durham venue as she stood with me while I had a sneaky cig (she did this a lot, I thought it was because she enjoyed the chat when really she just liked the smell of my cig!). So brave, she handled her health problems so gracefully, even when things took a turn for the worst. Denise, you'll be missed x |

Only met her once - but it was long enough to realise that she has an infectious enthusiasm about her and it's just so sad that it's being taken away from her now by this cruel disease.

Ive only just caught up with events on Twitter, I am absolutley gutted, I'm shaken and completely lost for words. I will certainly be paying her a tribute tomorrow at my breakfast meeting as will all others around the country I hope. |
