A very famous Ice Hockey player called Wayne Gretzky once said “A good hockey player plays where the puck is. A great hockey player plays where the puck is going to be” This Friday our 4Sight Slot on Friday 30th March at Castle Lodge Hotel in Ross-on Wye will be presented by Gareth Poulton of Gareth Huw Photography. Gareth Poulton will talk about the original extreme sport, ICE HOCKEY and a bit of photography thrown in for good measure called “From pucks and sticks to shutter clicks”. So if you like to “Get to the Jump” (Interpretation for non Ice Hockey lingo – to move fast and thereby get a good start on opponents) And Get into the right position to not only meet Gareth and learn something new about this fascinating sport but also meet some like minded networkers who want to support you to get you to where your puck is going to be. Nice thread Dave, not many people can get the word PUCK into any kind of correspondence without insulting somebody! It will be nice to see Gareth with his blades on. I thought that Ice hockey always ended with a big fight? Or was that just a midsummer nights dream?

Really good meeting at Ross yesterday on my long overdue return to my 'home group'. Terrific 4Sight from Gareth 'International Passporter' Poulton, great breakfast (and a smile from Steve) from The Castle Lodge Hotel, and 3 interesing 1-1s with Steve Buiskool (rugby and Sales Training), Martin Firman (further capitalising on 'The Best Of'), and Chris Hardy ('Elf & Safety and 4N). Pity nobody did fines, given all Gareth's references to some minor rugby tournament that (apparantly) Wales did OK in. |
