I wouldn't be here with 4N 's endless support and advice... Best business decision I've made was to join 4N ..... Regrettably I didn't join so much sooner... |

Hiya, If you don't ask you don't get and you have 2 ears and one mouth.....don't forget the ear part and finally.. it's good to talk...find out exactly what people do, it's OK to pick the phone up - if it wasn't members wouldn't put it in their profile

Being honest, open and friendly works really well for me. Patience is another key element I have recently got back in to the breakfast meetings after a gap of 18 months. Even after that 18 month gap I was still getting referrals from when I went to my original meetings. It builds in layers and the more you attend the more referrals you will get. 90% of my 4N referrals come from these forums (I'm a national business, rather than local) as it gives me a massive reach. To me it makes great sense to make the forums your second "local" meeting. If you can take a few hours out a week to attend meetings then surely you have the ability to find the odd 5 minutes here and there to contribute to the forums |

Don't expect too much to soon and don't sell. If businesses want to buy, they will do it on their terms, not your's. I pick up business from visitors and past members, as well as current members, but this done by being memorable, friendly (I hope) and not too pushy. It also helps if you are a member of the 4N team at the one of the groups as you are often the first person someone new to the group meets. I still remember who greeted and looked after me at my first visit. |

Stick at it and be seen. I think it's better to be well known at a handful of groups than an infrequent attendee at many. Be helpful, honest and show genuine interest in other people's businesses. Observe what others do and see what you can learn from them. Evaluate what you do and the skills you have - planning a 4Sight can be a great way of doing that. |

No secret Brad; be honest, be yourself, have a product/service that is attractive/useful and affordable. I've been in 4N from the early days in Scotland and still doing business, giving and receiving. |

Be yourself, be honest, listen, be interested, be interesting, believe in what you do, help where you can. You can't get any business if you are not there to be seen!!! I'm glad to be back after I'd burnt myself out for a bit this year and needed time to concentrate on my business, don't beat yourself up and get back there as soon as possible. Oh, and be patient, go with the mindset of raising awareness of your business, not to sell!! Remember that just because you don't directly get a lead from someone in that room, every single person in that room, also knows lots of people not part of the 4N Network, if they've got you stuck in their mind, you'll be the first to get a mention! I've got lots of business from 4N and got some more coming this week apparently! Thanks guys! Glad to be back (again!). Oh, and I've also used a fair few people in 4N too and have plans to use more! I've heard people say in the past that 4N can be a bit like a self help group ... well, if self help is getting support from experts and friends in the room and on the forum, and then it helps you grow your business, I ask, what's wrong with that???? Still a no brainer to me!

Two words really....... effort + relevance Effort = results.... which BB would call "Getting off your Arse" We all have days where we dont want to speak to people, we dont want to ring yet another 0845 number, we dont want to travel 50 miles for a quick coffee, we dont want too.... and the list goes on. The difference the people make to their business is pushing themselves that little bit more outside of their comfort zone each day to grow, its not an exclusive club, it does takes a massive surge of effort. Relevance - does your prospect / client truly need what you offer. |
