Does anyone know how to find out how many events are in a Google Calendar? |

In total or over a specific time frame? In total. The Google Calendar Sync on my PC seems to indicate that over 1200 events have been deleted and keeps prompting me to confirm if they should be deleted from my Outlook too so wondering what is going on and where the problem really lies. |

How are you syncing them with your pc? Using the Google Outlook sync tool? |

How are you syncing them with your pc? Using the Google Outlook sync tool? Yep. Normally works well. Then something happens to ask it the same question. There are no auto-delete old entry options selected on Google Calendar, my Galaxy S2 or Outlook so I don't see what could cause the sync tool to think I've deleted hundreds or thousands of entries. I've got a history going back to 2002 and it all seems to be there.

Anand Can you confirm that you are indeed using the 2-way sync? (Check by right click calander icon in system tray and select options) regards

Hi Adrian No need to check - it is indeed 2-way sync. The funny thing is that the alert I get, only occasionally comes up even though I never let it actually 'delete'. |

Anand Can you check you Outlook Auto archive settings? ( On the Tools menu, click Options, and then click the Other tab.) Try to turn archiving off (Clear the Run AutoArchive every n days check box) and see if that helps. Regards |

Good idea Adrian. The only thing is that the alert is saying that xxxx events have been deleted in my Google Calendar, rather than in my Outlook calendar?
I'll check the Archive settings anyhow tonight.

Anand From the google forums - it seems that this type of problem has been around for some time. Some things you could try: 1 - Start by - Sync one way Google -> Outlook then Sync one way Outlook -> Google then back Sync both ways If that does not work then try this: 2 . (Close Outlook first) delete the .feed file from the data_files directory and do a Outlook->Google sync (Win7 C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Google\Google Calendar Sync\data_files - win XP/vista C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Local Settings\Application Data\Google\Google Calendar Sync\data_files)
You may want to back up your calendar first Regards Adrian

Yep it seems to be a constant issue, but with varying solutions. Thanks for the advice but won't doing that create duplicates all over the place? If I could do a count of the number of Google Events in my GCal then that would put my mind at ease somewhat. |

Anand You could try this small work around: 1 - Export your Gcal to ICS file 2- create new temp calendar 3 - import the ICS file into that new calander ( will give you a dialogue box showing how many events were imported) Cannot think of anyway that you can directly count the number of events in Gcal.
