Every time I click on a link to download something from a web page, it tells me there's a problem and closes the webpage down - from perfectly legitimate webpages.  I've tried the suggestions online to change settings but it's still not happening.  I've resorted to right click and save as.

Any other bright ideas would be most welcome

When you say it tells you there is a problem, can you tell us what it says?

And when you say it closes the web page do you mean it goes to a previous page, closes the tab or closes the whole browser?

If possible, either write down exactly what the error says, or better print screen it and post it here for us to have a nose at.

Hi Ally,

I would uninstall the web browser you are currently using and reinstall it or install another browser.

Hi Ally,

I echo the above comments, some further info would be required to be able to suggest some options. Once these are available them I'm sure members can help further.

Who is the it?

Is it the website, the Browser, the Operating system, an antivirus program or your husband?

Have you had a look at your hard disk space recently? Where is the default save location for downloads? Have you tried changing it?

Try a different brower - try a different location.

Also download ccleaner (crap cleaner) from perifrom website here and clean out all the crap/temp internet files.

What anti virus are you using? Do a safe boot and a complete scan of your hard disk.

Also reboot your hub and reboot your PC.

Hope this helps

LOL had to laugh at that one!  Someone having problems with all downloads, being told to download something... Sure you don't work for pcworld? Wink

That is why everyone should have access to at least two computers! And two different browsers should be installed on a computer!

Aiden,

I would fix your signature on here - You've password protected the remote folder it's stored in and stopping the thread from loading properly Smiley
