Hi Richard

you have my backing, 4N has the purchasing power of 320 meetings so £10 is more than enough, by a longway. As i understand it, these venues are sourced on a group by group basis??, why !!!! if this is the case and to continue then i wish to pay the venue price for my area which is £7.25 to £ 8.25 - why should i pay London prices.  Again if you are using the buying power of over 320 meetings you should even get that rate in the south of England.

Ok so its only £2, but its the principal of the matter and done just after a massive recruiting campagin, if you get an average of 20 people a meeting with 320 meetings ( 160 a week ???) then that makes £6400 a week and over £300,000 a year hardly a little extra admin and isn't that part of whaty my joining fee is a for.

As for some of the other comments about margins - the breakfast fee is there to cover a cost not make a profit, again as ive said the joining fee is for that and if this is an attempt to make up for lost members ( drop in membership ) then i see it as desperate measures.

£12 this year £14 next ????

I also agree the examples were poor. Its just plain greedy

PS The breakfast fee is to cover the cost of the breakfast and the venue hire ( as confirmed by 4N head office ) the Breakfast is NOT FREE.

Joanne,

Do you charge more or less for your services based on client location?

Ref my services - advertsing fees change with the size of publication, its location and quality of print - were i to be running this in london I would charge more to certain costs ( mainly living being more ) also getting advertising in to certain areas has a higher value than others based on demographics.

Yes its £2 deal with it. Thats the problem.......lets not question it or the rationale behind it its only £2, but it soon adds up. Look after the pennies and the pounds will look after themselves.

There are many chain owned venues who offer great facilites at an appropriate price - 320 meetings is a fare sized bargaining tool. The price increase should be on the membership not breakfast especially as some dont or cant eat them.

Question everything, dont just accept it how ever small it may seem.

Karen what im doing - (after receiveng an email - stating & trying to justify a £12 breakfast, very poorly) - is to point out and question which i did in my first post that it is not right.

The email made a statement - Breakfast £12 thats it, not Q&As offered!

Its not a judgement its a considered opinion
