ooo intriguing! I am in my right mind if that means working hard on the things I know are immportant in the business, focussing on the positives & getting results If it is a question about my sanity more generally....there will be a fair few who'd say that I was never in my right mind! |

As a copywriter I value my creativity and certainly have a skill set which favours the right side of my brain - according to online tests I've done. I suspect that might be what you're getting at. Though this may be the right side of my brain encouraging me to go with gut instinct! |

Thanks to both Sam and David for their answers, very interesting I am fascinated by the left and right brain. Which side of the brain do you use most?
Left dominant people use logic, they are detail oriented, more reality based, and value practicality and safety Interestingly there is a strong link to mental wellbeing and inner peace being nurtured and maintained by developing right brain activity. So being in your right mind in my view is a combination of understanding what both sides of the brain do and then being able to choose how you implement that knowledge into maintaining optimum mental wellbeing. To further enhance self awareness by better understanding of how we think and process information and to value the importance of being creative.

Well thats my mental wellbeing out the window then. As a programmer I live and breath logical thinking (left sided thinking) and very little day to day use for the more creative side of the brain |

Carl Interestingly the parodox of the right brain is that both creativity and madness are rooted there! I know! thats enough to make any domiant left brain thinker stay where they are!! However by channeling thinking into the creative zone it can often alleviate mental stress. if you value and accept yourself how you are, if you have confidence in what you do then I wouldnt want to knock that and in fact slighty envious of such certainty! However if you ever wonder if there is more to life, how to make radical changes and/or a need to challenge yourself then exploring the potential of right brain thinking may be the answer. |
