Bizarrely I have never seen either The Smiths or The Cure. May still see The Cure yet but really wish I'd seen The Smiths in their heyday. They played Oxford but for whatever reason at the time I wasn't arsed about seeing them.

Sex Pistols Anarchy in the UK  tour when they where banned from everywhere, we got as far as Birminham centre on the day of the gig, when it was pulled. ended up being given tickets to a private punk party for 300 people hosted by the Clash & others. brilliant but would still have liked to see the Pistols

Had a chance to see queen once but decided not too...mistake!

A lot of research has been carried out on video marketing, its effectiveness and its projected growth as a major form of marketing in the coming years. It is expected that video will account for 90% of all internet traffic by 2015 (CISCO). If your clients (business or consumer) use the internet in any way, then this could be a very effective way of reaching them.

Your potential clients arefour times more likely to watch a video than read words. We have become a society of ‘easy bite media consumption’. This means that your potential customers want information delivered to them in small chunks and sound bites. When was the last time you read a promotional leaflet or brochure from cover to cover?

Not yet convinced? 68% of people who watch online videos, will pass on links for these videos to their contacts. Video is therefore an easy and cost effective way of increasing your ‘sales team’ by allowing your contacts to share your videos.

Something similar but equally regrettable....

I used to live in Borehamwood during the 70s when I was young, and my dad had a business on Shenley road (for those 4ners's who know it). After school one day, (I was about 10) I popped in on my way home.  My dad's girlfriend at the time, who was an sound editor at Elstree studios, was just leaving. She asked me if I wanted to come with her to work for an hour or so, until she finished for the day and we could all go home together. She said that there weren't that many people there, as it was nearing the end of the day so it was ok .... there was just 'the band' recording their upcoming album and a few other technical bods around. It could be fun.
I was young, a bit tired and had a lot of homework to do, so I declined. I've regretted that decison ever since!
It was only a few years later when I was a bit older that I realised what I'd passed on. Not many people get the chance to see Paul McCartney in rehearsal!
Doh!

Paul

Of the current crop of my favourite bands, primal scream are the only band I have yet to see, and I intend to fix that soon.

If it could be anyone, and whilst they may not be a bands, it would definitely johnny cash or Sinatra.

When I was at Uni, I got to see Supertramp, Pink Floyd, Dire Straits, Kate Bush, Elton John, Sad Cafe, Bob Dylan, Racing Cars, John Miles,  Thin Lizzy and  then a bit after Uni Paul McCartney and Wings, Renaissance, Judy Tzuke, Stevie Wonder, Genesis. My big regret though is not going to see David Bowie and the Spiders from Mars.  Today my tastes have changed and I'm more into Pat Metheny Group, Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter etc.

Queen, Leonard Cohen, Sex Pistols

Stefan, you should go and see Morrissey, he normally plays a few Smiths songs. I took my wife to see him as a surprise about 8 years ago, she being a much bigger fan than me. It was the best gig I've ever been to, to my surprise.

I really wish I'd seen The Clash live, one of my all time favourite bands. Met Joe Strummer in a pub on Goldhawk Road, what a lovely fella.

Went to see New Order on Friday, they were mint and played Tranmission and Love Will Tear Us Apart as an encore

Saw New Order sometime mid 80s in Oxford. They did 30 minutes no encore no explanation. The Oxford Appollo stalls took a bit of a hammering as a result.

Hmm what to say, so many missed opportunities, had tickets to see Eagles at Bingley Hall 1976, couldnt go because of transport, Pink Floyd at Wembley 1977, Black Sabbath Cardiff Capitol 1974, Zeppelin Cardiff Capitol 1974, other than that Ive seen all the bands I wanted not necessarily in the era I wanted to. What comes to mind would be The Beatles rooftop session I'd loved to have been at, to me that was the pinnacle of their career, I would still like to see The Eagles at some point and probably to have seen most artists who have died before their time would be good.
