They do seem to occupy the top slots in that section all the time so it would make sense to free up the section a bit.

Could we have one for us video gamers as well? Online gaming could be the next networking venue

No leave them where they are. They seem to work well and people enjoy them (not having actually ever taken part in them myself), so why bother to try and fix it? If other topics are worthy of being in a more prominent position on that forum then people will contribute and they will naturally be at the top. No need for management rigging!

No - overcomplicates the forum, we don't need any more sub forums.

I have mentioned this before a few times and think they should go in the 18+ section, as it does seem very barren there, it may just give it a new lease of life. As Carl said, they do seem to occupy the top, and I have noticed that nowhere near as many people contrbute to the sub-forum anymore since these started appearing, so I personally think it is a bit broke Danny. Either that or the forum as whole is less poulated than it was 12 months ago.

I used to be a regular contributor to this sub-forum but TBH I can't really be bothered spending time starting a new topic or writing an carefully formed opinion to be discussed, when a bunch of one word answers sends the thread down the page in no time. I know that you are a regular on these Jim and I agree there should be provisions for them as there are a few of you that enjoy them, so what is your opinion about putting them in 18+ ?

If it came down to keeping the same number of forums then I'd happily support getting rid of 18+ and replacing it with a games forum.

Need somewhere to put the swears though.

Which in itself is a reason not to put the games in there as some people will be put off going in there.

I honestly don't see the problem. There are only five competitions which means that if you make a new post and then I come along and enter every competition you are, at worst, going to be sixth from the top. On a page with 24 entries, that's only a quarter of the way down. If someone finds your post interesting, they only have to reply and you're back on top again. Simples... I can't speak for the rest of the comp regulars, but I would object VERY strongly to being shunted off to the "over 18" section just to bump up the numbers there.

More sub forums, how long ago was it you removed some because it was getting over complicated?

I'm with Glenn on this, and Jim come to that. It certainly doesn't stop me posting in Chit Chat at all.

Jim, there are only five for now, but new ones do get introduced like the recent 'actor' one, so if it continues any other new topic could be half way down the page in no time. I think the general psyche of forum users is that once a thread drops from the top few places they move on and look elsewhere, many times without even looking at the thead to see if it is interesting or not.

As mentioned, this place was buzzing a year ago, a lot of humour and some great threads mixed in with the odd CC game that got bumped occassionally, now it has totally changed. There is obviously some concern for Brad to bring it up.
