AAAAGGGGHHHH - Payroll !!!
| Posted: 15th May 2012 - 19:00 Quote | |||
AAAGGGHHH - because I have been trying on and off all day to get the HMRC Helpline - and have just listened to 5 whole minutes of irrelevant information only to be told AGAIN that "all our operators are busy" :-( I have a new employee who has started this month and has a P45 from 1983 when she last worked in this country (just returned from New Zealand). Should I use this when setting her up on the payroll and filing forms with HMRC - or ask her to complete a P46?

Talk to Sam Millard from Greengages Payroll, I'm sure she'll have the answer. :) |

Anne I know you've had an answer now so my reply is somewhat irrelevant but a P45 is really only relevant for the financial year it relates to. You also have my sympathies re HMRC calling system as I rang them in JAnuary/February when they were striking to go through the dialling process, hold system and then cut off :( Regards David
