Peter M & Mark B - now you've had your warm-ups, bring the best you have to offer over the £6 bridge - how about the following for a game against my 'Dursley Select': DATE - Monday 18/6 or Monday 2/7 (Peter/Mark - both held - let me know which to book and which to release) VENUE - Dursley, Gloucestershire (GL11) FORMAT - It's a half-pitch, excellent surface, All Weather Pitch (no Crocs allowed Giles), so suggest 7/8 aside? (couple of rolling subs?) KICK-OFF - 6.30pm (pitch till 7.30pm) AFTERS (8pm to 9pm) - The Old Spot (award winning pub, inc CAMRA National 2007, about 5 mins drive from the pitch) - for either Top Quality Sausage/Mash/Onion Gravy or a Terrific Chilli & Rice & An Excellent Pint - http://www.oldspotinn.co.uk/ COST - TBC but expected to be £10/11pp (pitch, food, pint - travel excluded) #winning #englandvswales #roundballgame

Hi all - general consensus seems to be Monday 18/6. Given the tie-in to beer/food (as well as pitch) - we'll need definite names (along with meal choice) in advance (say by Monday 11/6?). I'll collect the cash on the night, but please don't confirm unless you can definitely come along and play/eat/drink (and pay), as we'll have to commit to the food. I think Peter/Mark will co-ordinate for 4N South Wales - meal choices are: Sausage, Mash, Onion Gravy or Chilli & Rice (both are excellent) - please let me know if any vegetarian requests - thx, Mark |
