I would be honest, but unless you are cancelling a meeting or there is a key deliverable that may be affected or the meeting is early morning and may be missed I don't believe that necessary at outset. Everybody has to cancel from time to time and most people are understanding especially if there is a good reason. |

Ronnie good point. I have always had a problem to say or not to say at Job interviews. My disability is very visable. I once mentioned it and the guy hit the roof, he said we have had a disabled girl working on the phones for years. Hence did not get the job. I think it is a call you make at the time see how things go. Best thing is now i do not have to go for job interviews being my own BOS.

Sara I have no advice but I just want to say that I think you are brilliant! I think that your business will grow quickly and you won't have this worry about wether to tell people or not.

Can I just agree with Rachael, I feel you are an inspiration to us all! However, reading through this has made me realise some of the additional issues you have to deal with, besides all the usual ones we all encounter in business, which I hadn't considered properly before. |

Hi Sara I would tell them and perhaps set up an alternative if you're not able to physically go to them, either Skype, Facetime, conference calls or any other form of communication From my own experience if they respond in a negative manner then I dont want to work with them thankfully that doesnt happen very often as I find that many others, either personally or through loved ones, also have daily challenges. The more we talk about it, the more it helps raise awareness and hopefully dilemmas such as this will lessen |
