Quick question on graphical signatures, there's a few different types out there ranging from clickable ones made up of various images to flash ones etc... Do you lose the anchor text backlink to your site? is alt img as strong? Trevor, over to you. |

In strict SEO terms the image link probably won't be as strong as pure text. But Google are nowadays looking for a wider mix of links.
If the signature looks good enough then the click through rate may well improve over plain text in which case it's targeted traffic who are potentially buyers. Which is very strong Remember you can name the images something meaningful & give them alt text so Google knows what they are. Plus you've got 4 text links that show up anyway. And mine will also have the Ops Assistant line below it. Also Gareth didn't tell me until today that I'll have 3 different designs to choose from, all for the one price. |
