Before i started for myself, over 14 years ago, i went on a start your own business coarse. One point they told us was to not compete on price, only on the service. There is always someone out there who will do the job cheaper, but they will be the ones that fold soonest. I regularly hear of people doing similar work to me and charging under half what i do. I never see them in business more than a few months. The problem is they get halfway through the job and realise that they are not making any money from it and cut corners, the customer then calls someone like me to sort it out and i gain their contact. Best to be fair on price, provide the service at a fair price to yourself and the customer. Under charging is just as dangerous to a business as over charging. |

So, as of midnight, my prices will all be going up - officially - on ClickworkMedia.co.uk. Wow - that's bad timing for me. I mentioned I intended to pass work to you this week when meeting with 3 4Networkers yesterday... But today your prices have doubled, so I'll need to change my plans. I understand why you feel you should implement an increase, but a 100% increase seems drastic. I hope it works out for you... I wish I could do the same... |
