Whats the Record for seeing the same 4sight,
| Posted: 11th Jul 2012 - 18:34 Quote | |
I seem to notice in my area only a small number of people do 4sights, so you could see the same one quite a few times. So what is the record. Would it help if people doing 4sights did not block book groups in the same area. And yes I have done a 4sight and will be doing another in August. |

Martin it makes loads of sense for the Area and Regional Leaders to make sure this doesn't happen. It doesn't help either the members watching the 4Sight or the member delivering the 4Sight if the same 4Sight can be found at several close groups in close succession. To answer your question, I have seen Julian Wellings 4Sight about 8 times and enjoyed it every time. Basil Mienie about the same and ditto. Brad's I have seen over 30 times. |

I've noticed a few people have unbooked later this week at a group in my area to possibly avoid seeing my 4Sight for the 4th time! Although, they seemed to enjoy it 3 times! By the way, Martin , good man for doing a 4Sight, personally I think the GL's should encourage their members more to do them, and invite good 4Sighters from other areas too... Julian Wellings is one chap who I would like to see, and Brad another... |

Good points Adam & Stef, I would love to see your 4sight Adam as the power of the forum is great, look what you got me to do yesterday. I Know the 4sight is only 10 minutes of the meeting but space them out. I will look around for another meet or just miss out a meet. Adam, will you be over this way say within 25 miles of Bedford or MK with your 4 sight. |

Adam, will you be over this way say within 25 miles of Bedford or MK with your 4 sight. I expect so, and here's why. I'll be very transparent and open about this. I've done 3 groups so far and handed out feedback forums afterwards and I can make it commercially sensible by offering a paid session in the form of a 2 hour workshop. It's not my core business and there's only so much I can offer for free, in terms of the fuel burn + my time before I've got to make some return. anyway... over 60% of people said they'd be happy to pay. When, next month I'd expect. / off topic - sorry. Stef - Exeter , 10th August. Forum 4Sight.

I tend to 'do the rounds' locally' and have so far only seen one more than once. And it was a good one so I didn't mind at all (not that I've ever seen a bad one really). The benefits of scheduling varied 4Sights reaches far and wide and at Pontypridd we have a schedule of 4Sights that takes us out to November at the moment. We've consiously tried to make sure that we vary both the topics and the speakers (in terms of style). And we have lots of speakers on our schedule who are not regulars (they many never have been to us before) or are 'out of area'. This brings variety for both the speaker and the group. I'm also hoping that it encourages a better use of passports. We also find that once a 4Sighter has visited us ... they want to come back ... so it's good for our Pontypridd attendance numbers! Having a varied 4Sight schedule also helps us when we're marketing the group. It gives us something extra to talk about and for the 4Sighters, is an additional reward for their efforts through promotion and awareness raising. Keep it as varied as possible, I say. :) |

I once saw Alister Bett's 4Sight about 6 times in the space of a month. I don't mind seeing a 4Sight a couple of times but more than that and it gets a bit monotonous. |

My record for a single 4Sight is 4 times - but as it's Richard Daniels swing singing I don't mind one little bit. I usually go to the same 3-4 groups around Yorkshire, so I was expecting someone new when I popped over to Manchester last month - but it was Richard again! Two "lucky" people got to hear my 4Sight twice in one week last year when I had to step in at Leeds East on the Thursday having done York on the Tuesday. |
