What do you do on a daily basis for you biz?

In those early days of my first marketing business. I would religiously Make 5 cold calls. Send 5 letters. It kept me active and if i missed doing them, i'd then have to catch up, do 10 the next day. Self leadership ftw.
Do you do anything similar to make stuff happen? |

I don't think I Really do, but I'm thinking I should be implementing them, even if it's 5 emails a day instead of cold calling. (I still hate it!!) I try and make a daily to do list, does that count? Xx |

Im a regular on twitter and see huge value where most people see a waste of time. Just like 4N, I am building contacts and relationships and reinforcing my message of helping people with fitness. I've gone a step further recently and started giveaways plus offering people free 1-1 chats about a fitness question they have. They are being looked after and receive great service and I gain credibility, the satisfaction of helping people, raises my profile etc. also out of the 10 or so I've done I've had 1 person buy a consultation straight away and lots more tweet and promote me.- What's the downside? No downside! I definately agree with Brad, you need to do some "active" things on a daily basis to push your biz forward. My advice would be do something that you are comfortable with. |

Sometimes there's so much to do each day that it can be hard to remember exactly what you've done, so at the end of each day I'll write down 3 things that I achieved that day, and then 3 things I must achieve tomorrow. If there's ever a disconnect I'll have to play catch up. So yea, similar.. |

Currently working on a project to take the business in a whole new direction. Instead of providing expensive bespoke solutions I will be providing ready made off the shelf solutions for people to click and buy online. To do this the products have to be rock solid so the programming is taking a while (When you provide a bespoke solution you have control over the environment its going in to, when you sell pre made software you have no idea what environment it will go in to). The plan is flexible enough to allow any of 3 options to work (1) Ready made software fails and I continue with the bespoke software (2) It sells in small numbers producing a second revenue on top of the bespoke software (3) It takes off and I have no time left for the bespoke side. Its a big plan that is taking up every waking hour, but it is one of those plans that can only take the business forward. |

Make sure the first hour of every day is spent doing something, anything that drives the business forward - and that doesn't mean checking emails, making to-do lists or catching up on work. |

We have a white board on our office wall with daily, weekly and monthly disciplines. Some are client tasks, others our own e.g daily social media updates, blog etc... |
