How was 1st half of 2012 - so is the 'recession' showing in your business ?

Is there a recession in your business ? or just media talk ? 

If YES what are you doing to to try make the 2nd half of 2012 better ?

If No what makes you or your business different for the trend ?

Definitely no recession here - our last quarter was the best in 3.5 years and we had our best ever month just a few weeks ago. We're lucky enough to be in a really hot space which I'm sure is a key factor. I'd also like to think we'd planned for this happening and have built up the experience and reputation to now be in a great position in the market.

Happy to report that business is improving all the time for my companies.

Customers seem more motivated to get their health and safety management right as it improves the bottom line if you don't have accidents and ill-health caused by work conditions. This is perhaps helped along by the fact that the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) are introducing charging for their inspections and investigations from October 2012 - where they find material breaches of health and safety law, HSE will charge companies  £124 per hour for their investigation and admin time. One enforcement notice could cost £1400 in fines, plus the cost of putting things right..
