Well - what a busy, buzzy morning at the West Retford Hotel! 33 attendees, including 4 visitors - not too bad for a meeting in the holiday season
After a perfectly timed 40 second round we were treated to an "ornithological" 4Sight from Judith Jarvis, who taught us how to relate personality types to certain birds, accompanied by delightful cartoons of the birds in question. Recognising personalities is of course crucial when building a team, something Judith has plenty of experience of. I think I decided I was a swan, with a bit of robin, owl and wren mixed in

Fabulous lively meeting - I was practically hoarse trying to make myself heard over the lively banter! Great to have so much support for this meeting, especially over the holiday season. Thanks guys. Judith's 'bird' 4sight is really something and would recommend other groups get her on board - lovely way to look at people. Looking forward to next meeting already with the lovely Kath Doyle regaling us with her hilarious tales of her travels.

Delighted to see that Retford refused to be hit by the holiday bug that appears to hit so many groups this time of year. What a wonderful, vibrant meeting with 33 people in the room. Smashing chats with our new visitors, good humour and merriment in the room - what else do you need on a Friday? Hat's off to the wonderfull Mel for keeping us on track of time and generally being the fab Group leader that she is. And thanks for Judith for her lovely 4Sight - and whilst I've seen it a few times now, I still can't decide if I'm a Pigeon or a Dodo. Happy weekend one and all! |
