Would you use this new App in your business?

Hi Helen , hope your well. The app can be swithced on or off and also diverted to your mobile number etc. People can call you on either your Landline number or mobile :) xx

It looks, technically, exactly the same as Skype (and possibly other VOIP set-ups).

I have a Skype account and Skype app on my mobile (and my laptop/ desktops and tablets).
As long as I have the app running I can make/ receive calls on either Skype or my mobile.
My phone is also set up to only make calls on Skype when on WiFi (but still receive them anywhere) but I can turn this off if required.

Not saying yours is better/ worse, just that the technology is already in use.

Edit: Ah! I see you charge for UK landline calls, whereas I get free UK landline calls.

Hi Richard, just download the app from Apple or ANdroind store and it works through 3/4g or wifi. Can also be used abroad which is the added bonus! Give the guys a call on 0191 5000000 and ask for Jeff if you need any further info.

Your right there are other technologies currently doing similar. With the MyPhoneBuddy it is a fully intergrated telephone system including call recording, vm to email, conferencing etc and it will aslo display incoming and outgoing Cli which i dont believe Skype do. Its great to see peoples feedback and initial compariosons though i appreciate it :)

All the others, Skype does but, outgoing Cli? I have no idea what that is!

With the app you get an 01/02 number which can be displayed when dialing out and also people can call you on the number i.e. your landline number would be 020 123456789.

Seems to be a little confusion here, SKYPE and other technologies are aimed at skype to skype users etc, video calling and the likes, you need to be online to see and talk to each other, better still what business wants to see the person they are calling unless its a real planned Video Conf call.

Myphonebuddy  is a Uk phone system on your mobile, people call a landline number , your app rings etc, full office functionality

It doesnt fit everyone and its not meant to, if your a micro biz that wants cheap then this is not for you, this is a credible service to represent your business and give you the features you need, any business wants to show their CLI to give the impression of a main office and not a home worker even if they are,

Lee, A CLI  is your landline number that represents your business! do you want to advertise a mobile if so you dont need this service

I have pocket landline which works in a similar way.. gives impression your in local office... unlimited calls... 

if you use thru  s11 you get free use overseas too thru  UMA & WIFI

Sorry to be negative but my first reaction is no.   It's not immediately obvious what the benefits are to me.   Its probably all there in the website but I don't have the motivation to look further.

I don't think I would either! The website does not look professional enough to convince me it is a good service! 

In all honesty, it kinda looks like many other VoIP solutions but provides an "app" for smartphones.

I have just signed up for a VoIP service which gives me a free 01 number. I have put the VoIP details into my Android as it supports SIP and various voice codecs natively - tried dialling out through VoIP and viola my 01 number is shown on the recipient's end.

I can see a possible use for this, but I think perhaps the website needs to be tailored to extoll the virtues your product has.
