Something for Twitter trainers, advisers, consultants and gooros

I recently had reason to contact some Twitter people to train one of my customers. Guess what happened:
email - no reaction, one reaction came three full days later
What's wrong with this? If the client already knows how to use Twitter, he won't be needing you. You should really be available by methods other than Twitter. In other words, pick up your potential clients where they are, not where you are. |

Incredible! But, sadly all too often true. Give me a shout next time, I'm only down the road in Plymouth. |

That's pretty poor, and a great example that a lot of 'Twitter-trainers' might be sitting on Twitter saying "Do you need training on how to use Twitter?", when really they should be targeting elsewhere. I guess the only saving grace, though, is that you state above "Phone - not tried". Perhaps every one of them would have answered their phone straight away. |

Twitter consulting is still pretty new. People from various walks of life name themselves Twitter expert these days. Some didn't find anything better to do with whatever expertise they had before, some are very good. But some just like using Twitter (a lot) and that itself is not enough to call yourself an expert.
Other examples with a similar underlying thinking or problem: Put yourself in the shoes of your target group. Those who don't know yet. |

Yes, that absolutely right. Well put. It's all about attitude in the end. And at the start

I actually dont think anyone really needs training on Twitter. With reasonable intelligence and a passion for your business, once you have the Twitter account and spent time on finding your way around Twitter, anyone can build a working Twitter Network. Anyone disagree?? |
