I've been approached by several people to sign up as a reseller for Xocai, the "healthy chocolate" - a claim made due to the high level of antioxidents (?) in their dark chocolate products which have health benefits apparently.

I like to eat dark chocolate, particularly Green & Blacks 85% 100g bars which contain 693 calories and 61 grams of fat. That bar of chocolate takes up 34% of my daily calorie allowance and 87% of my daily fat allowance. So maybe I should be limiting myself to one or two squares a day?

What I don't understand is why I'd buy chocolate from an MLM agent, rather than "on a whim" at my local corner shop, garage or supermarket. After all if dark chocolate is good for you, why not have a little of what you fancy when you fancy it?

So you can't buy Xocai in a shop then?

All that I know is that there is no such thing as healthy chocolate! Calories is calories. Eat a shedload of it and you get fat.

What I must say to their credit is that Xocai are performing the ultimate miracle in selling. They are putting together a veritable army of reps recruiting reps recruiting reps without a single piece of chocolate in sight, nor indeed, a price.

Come on, Xocai! Show me the chocolate, let me taste it, tell me how much it is.

Chocolate is chocolate to me – although don't like dark chocolate but if it could make me feel less guilty for stuffing my face over the xmas period for being healthy than i might be sold! nah!

hummmm. I typed Xocai and Scam into Google and found some of the most sophisticated manipulation of Search Engine placements I have ever seen. This has an example:

Some interesting comments about the founders in this post.

Not for me.

Apparently any dark chocolate is better for you than milk chocolate, but as has already been said chocolate is chocolate and if you eat too much you'll put on weight, get spots etc!

There's a saying that a little of what you fancy does you good, so I'd stick to the Green & Blacks if I were you Ian.

(I don't use this philosophy myself, if I like something, I get as much as I can!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

Its not for me I'm afraid. I am very much into eating a load and excercing a lot to balance it out and £100 a box (or whatever it might be) chocolate I have no place for. I think Xocai are building a solid pyramid of workers in the UK and it appears there business model is popular but I just fear for the bottom three quarters of the pyramid. I just dont quite get why people would invest the time but in fairness I dont know huge amounts about this or any other mlm scheme.

Well it sounds like a scam to me. i met someone the other day who was told her arthritis would be 'cured' by it!

there is a healthy chocolate - i have it sometimes and it's all raw, no sugar, no dairy, and not heated at all. it's very nice i think but several people i know think it's an acquired taste! it's cacao in its purest form and quite expensive but it does give you a bit of a buzz!

otherwise good old G&B's dark 85% will do me!

montezuma isn't bad either...

;O)
