Yesterday - for a charity event I was asked to make a trifle Never ate one or made one before It tasted really nice If you are interested here is the receipe
Ingredients:
Preparation: Split sponges in half lengthwise and sandwich together with the raspberry preserves. Arrange 6 slices in a shallow baking dish.Pour over a double serving of sherry Put 1 tin rasperries and raspberry syrup over sponges. Spoon 1 pint custard over rasberries. Do the same again from the beginning making a second layer Top with whipped cream and any decorations - I used sugar strands Chill for 24 hours and serve cold For a smaller trifle halve the portions and only have one layer. |

Hi Vicky The trifle sounds delish, i was looking through the forums and saw the post with trifle in the title haha. On reading the ingredients though it did make me chuckle - reminded me of that Friends episode where rachel makes a trifle and the recipe pages were stuck together. Sponge
