If I had a penny for everytime my name was misspelt I would be a very rich man. It is very unusual for someone to get both first and second name correct. Because it happens so often I have pretty much accepted it, however the one thing that does get me is when I am referred to as McDonald. People hear the Mac/Mc and assume the rest... On a vaguely related matter, I used to live next door to a McDonald and his first name was Ronald !! and to be fair to his parents he was christened before the fast food chain started........ |

Slighty different note - my surname is simple yet consistently I am asked how it is spelt. How many different ways is RYAN spelt! In fact I am aware that there is a Ryun but it is very rare. |

I invariable get called Jan Jacks. Like it's some sort of verb. I just finished a job at a pub where amongst us employees were Jan Jack, Jack Flack and Dan Flack.
