Why does it take so long to upload my photos onto facebook?

Two thigs spring to mind; 1. You have a good camera with a high number of megapixels? Meaning the photos are larger files than photos taken on a older/worse camera. 2. The upload speed of your broadband is slow. Try testing it at http://www.speedtest.net/

Hi Michelle You havent said whether you are using the little app in FB called uploader - if you are not using this then it will take forever. If you are using this then I would agree that perhaps your file size of the pics is too big. Also have you created a photo album in FB? If you havent got the uploader click this link and it will take you sraight there http://www.facebook.com/apps/application.php?id=2371229427 To check what speed your broadband is running at click on www.speedtest.net and click the test button and it will tell you what your BB speed is. if it is slow then contact your BB provider to see if they can upgrade you. any other problems give a shout. |

Best advice I can give most people just uploading their photos to Facebook is if you have a good megapixel camera i.e. 5mp, 7mp or 10mp, change it's size to 2mp. This is about the size of a laptop screen and is more than adequate for people using photos for Facebook. |
