Where Can I Get Reasonabl Priced Stock Art
| Posted: 11th Feb 2010 - 14:10 Quote | |
looking in to purchasing some stock images. Most sites are really quite expensive and their high subscription fees offer us way more than we currently need. E.g. 30 downloads a day. Yet if we just need a random image they can prohibitively expensive.
Do you have any recommendation for reasonably priced ways of getting a good reserve in at a low cost. A site we don't know about or even a CD pack
Have tried to correct Header error, but can not seem to edit that field - sorry
Thanks
Debbie

iStock is the best place I find, with images from around a pound you cannot go wrong. |

What Chris said. Most stock shots are only a few quid. |

But for a truly unique images speak to me Also, if using stock images make sure you read the t&c, you may find that you are not allowed to make reproductions of the image to sell. |

To be fair if your making bespoke websites you should use bespoke images ... see below :-) |

what they said. Might be easier for us if you defined 'reasonably priced'. |

Deborah, I tried to ring you earlier as I also thought of the following point I posted on another thread relating to stock images. "Also a word of caution, using cheap stock images normally means that you don't have exclusive use of the image. What this means is that the image your friend uses may appear on lots of other websites and marketing material. This can be a problem when the site is a rival or when the products or services of that company are dubious. An example of this there is a widely used image of a call centre girl that appears on 31 other websites including a phone sex site."

What I find with stock images is in addition to other people using them ... they look a little vague. |

Debbie If you're still looking then I have used this image bank for the last 3 years and have never yet struggled to find an image I need and believe me I get through a lot of images. Works out around £60 per year (depending on the exchange rate) for unlimited downloads. Inlcudes things like fonts, gif's animations, illustrations, cut outs, as well as a huge photo image bank that they update regularly. Would highly recommend as I use it every day Regards Martin |
