There. It feels so good to finally say it. I can't stop creating spreadsheets for everything. I have a deep-seated fear that I'm totally disorganised and have got caught in a cycle of trying to rectify this with endless excel docs - for stuff which really doesn't need a spreadsheet. Has anybody else ever overcome a spreadsheet addiction? I think I need to join a support group. I'm considering taking up hard drugs to wean myself off the spreadsheets. Any advice? |

I too am addicted to spreadsheets, I even have a spreadsheet to keep track of my spreadsheets. I also use a remote back up every day and additionally back up twice a day on a portable hard drive. Help me!

Neil - thank you for reaching out to me. I feel your pain. I keep telling myself, just one more spreadsheet and it will all be ok. It never is. At the start I thought I could control it, but now I realise the spreadsheets have taken over. How could I have been so stupid? It's time we realised that the answers to our problems don't lie in a cell formula. We can do it together.
Stacey - I need less spreadsheets, not more!
Seriously, though, I have become totally obsessed with, and bogged down in, spreadsheets. I need to stop it. They aren't the solution! |
