Look at your sales emails/letters..

then If i was to give you £10 for every word you could remove from it, and still maintain the message.

How much would i owe you?

Let me know..

Wow, I've just re-read the last email I wrote and you're right. It could have been much more succinct. It would lessen my chances of getting repetitive strain injury for typing too!

Great tip - well worth being reminded of now and again.

Thanks Brad.

Sarah

PS. You owe me about £1000!

Ha! £50 a word, that is tempting. You're racking up quite a bill!

Thanks again for the reminder. Short and sweet from me from now on!

This is very interesting as I'm about to pen a sales letter. I always find it hard to keep it short and sweet and avoid the urge of telling them all about what I do/ what I am offering.

On the theme of sales letters, how long should you leave before following up by phone? In fact, is there any merit in phoning before sending the letter to set the theme?

Regards

Arthur

The wya i see it, "letters" or emails or there not to get you the job, but to get the appointment.. its a bit like a cv is to get you the interview, not the appointment.

Now following up, isn't hard if you got the letter and offering right from the off, its only hard when you not 'feeling it'.

2 days max, but expect 9 out of 10 no's..

I shared a tip recently on here, that got a 4Networker member an accountant 4 NEW clients from 40 letters in one month.

Massive responses.. check this blog for the inside scoop http://www.getoffyourarse.biz/articles/art.asp?aid=14

Plenty of food for thought - thanks. I am going to be writing to dentists - plenty of room for creative license there!
