Yes, but changing the dimensions in there seem only to change the paper size for print, rather than the document itself. |

When you are in MS Word, along the top or somewhere there are a series of Document Command Menus, which read 'File, Edit, View.....' or similar. Selecting 'File' should give you access to the Page Seup feature which allows you to set the page size. |

Thanks Lisa. I need a custom size, and it isn't working for me. Maybe today is the wrong day to try and achieve anything. Dicking about time, perhaps. |

Not sure what you want to achieve. MS-WORD is not a page layout software, so you might need to work with left/right margins. |

I just want to work on a page of different dimensions. Basically, my Quark disc is at my ex's house and I need to reinstall. The software I donwloaded (Scribus) is not intuitive and all I want to is to layout a business card. I am grumpy. |

Hi Lisa, This sounds as you've got Word 2007. Word 2003 has File, Edit, View across the top, but in 2007 these have been replaced with tabs: Home, Insert, Page layout, References... Click on the 'Page Layout' tab, and you should find options for Margins, Orientation, etc. A shortcut though is to double-click the blue area either side of the white ruler at the top of your document. This works in all versions of Word.
Cheers

So it's the paper size you want to change? If so select Page Layout / Size, if the size isn't listed select More Paper Sizes and type in the dimensions of the paper in the width and height fields. Failing that, give me the dimensions and I'll set up a template for you. |
