I'm thinking of becoming a customer and a distributor ( there's not enough on here ). It fits in with what I do and I'm feeling pretty upbeat about it.

I'd really like to hear your experiences, be they good or bad, customer or distributor.

Thanks.

I'm satisfied as a customer. The only thing that annoys me a bit is that phone calls to customer services are charged at a premium rate; they were free when I signed up.

At least UW have a product to sell but, as far as I am aware, you need to take a lot of them before you see any real advantage.
I had someone look at my bills for gas/ lecky a while back and they couldn't better the price as I only wanted those 2 services.

The product, i think, is good, but please don't turn into a MLM zombie and try to SELL, SELL, SELL to everyone you meet.

I was almost set to sign up as a distributor a couple of years ago, having met a 4N visitor who was very persuasive. Then he made a fatal error - he invited me alkong to a local UW training event. I went feeling very positive about it all and came away adamant never to have anything to do with them - the guy running the event was very strong on distributors selling to everyone regardless of whether it saved them money or not. Not my way of doing things I'm afraid!

personally i REALLY dislike there ADSL service, the amount of times we have had to argue to get the service turned back up to what it should be is amazing.

I'm sure they will save you money on everything, just for the love of god stay away from there ADSL service

There's no number shown there for customer services. Maybe one of the others would work, but I haven't tried. I usually E-mail if I need to contact them.

I have been on the rough end of the customer services end. It took over 3 months for them to send out an engineer who switched a couple of wires and solved my broadband issue. I did speak to an English call centre which was a bonus but it just took so long, so many calls and so much bad service.

Also they haven't saved me money, it has cost a fair few quid more.

Hello all,

Philip, I have no idea how much you know about UW, but my advice would be to attend a business opportunity presentation and see what you think! over the next couple of weeks the company is rewarding its active distributors with about £1,000,000 of shares!

With regards to the services grab a distributor you LKT and see whats on offer that could be of value to you.(by the way ,as a distributor you do not have to be a customer!)

Barry, get in touch with the guy/girl who offered you the services and ask them why you are paying for customer service calls.

Hope this is useful.

I'm a current newbie with my business and so far i'm impressed, no hassle's. we're moving our house hold services with potential savings so we'll see how that goes, but i've been telling friends and family about the potential savings we're going to make, they're waiting to see how it goes and are considering it as well.

I had a friend do a presentation to me a couple of eyars ago. I personally felt very uncomfy about the whole thing. The way he presented it made em warey as that is the way that I used to present Bartercard, knowing teh outcome is a sale no matter what. Also they are actually part of a supplier and so will not always give the best price as tehy are biased. If you just want to cheapen your bills look at an independant cost reduction company who's only aim is to save you money and not who they go to!

As I understand it, Utilities Warehouse are an alternative way of acquiring your utilities, with some neat bolt ons - including a cash back card. As an overal package, it is worth looking into, and many people I have spoken to rate their service, although clearly, from the above, they are not perfect. But remember, the alternatives are people like British Gas!

As a business opportunity, the only way to establish that is to speak to@

1. Utilities Warehouse.

2. Other distributors.

Like all business opportunities, ask to see numbers, ask to see contracts, and do your due diligence.

I'm both a customer and a distributor and love them! As a customer, the simplicity of having one single bill is the key selling point. The cash back card is great although I only use it for shopping at Sainsburys - shame I cant use it at Waitrose! Customer service is UK based, very quick to answer and award winning.

As a technology consultant, the broadband product is high quality.

I have been slow to get clients on board as a distributor, although it is an easy process.

Enjoy!

Carl
