I was quite surprised when this went passed the office! I know we back on to fields, but still wasn't expecting this. We don't have any windows in our office, so try to open the back doors as often as possible to make the most of what little sunlight there is! It did make me wonder though - what can you see from where you work? http://www.facebook.com/?ref=home#!/photo.php?pid=5510079&fbid=439822590752&id=598310752

The building next door, the bus depot, the TA place and at lunchtime the kids from the local high school throwing their chips and juice on the ground. Have I sold Cumbernauld to you yet? |

From my office I can see several back gardens and an alley way. I can hear kids playing, a couple argueeing and someone who thinks he is Phil Collins banging away on several pots and pans |

Unfortunately the picture didn't work out!!!! Normally I can see a set of fire doors. We do not have any windows in the factory so often miss daylight! On a sunny* day we can open the back doors and I see across the yard into the field next door. *Sun - bright light in sky, seldom seen in UK, even rarer in Scotland! The other day, whilst doors were open, a rather large combine harvester went past in the field. It was huge! and noisy! and better in a photo!

I live and work on the first floor of an apartment block - from my window I can see trees, some waste ground, a housing estate and in the distance I can see council tower blocks that have recently been painted which tend to have green lights on them when its dark. I can hear the railway line too and sometimes hear the tannoy announcing the trains. |

My office is the front room of my house (formerly known as the dining room). At the moment the view is dominated by a large, noisy generator provided by EDF Energy because they don't know when they can fix the power cuts we've been having. The noise isn't too much of a problem but the thing is pumping my house full of diesel fumes - and opening windows makes things worse. |

I know Cumbernauld - you have the new Silver Lady artwork - very pretty too. I drove past it twice on Wednesday. |

The sun is in my eyes so I have to squint at the screen, Marvelouse! I also see the planes coming in to land over the trees at Birmingham airport. I have a great office. don't spend much time in it though. |

Several lilac trees, a large eucalyptus tree, a copper maple, golden privet, 2x neighbours' houses, the sky and clouds, a very ugly telegraph pole festoooned with wires, and sometimes - just - the tip of a wind turbine blade. Often: red kites, buzzards, bullfinches, Hercules, VC-10 tanker, C-17 transport. Rarely: Vulcan XH558 Cheers, Derek

I just poked my camera out of the window. (yes - as you can see by the lack of houses, or indeed anything, I live in the middle of nowheresville - and that's how I like it). Looking to the left...
and to the right...

I see a generator, three EDF vans and a few men standing around a hole in the pavement. |
