My Name is Derek Telles and I was born in Nairobi,Kenya in the year of 1960. I was raised during my first years in Nairobi a small community with fantastic weather and friendly people. We lived on a street with no sidewalks, no sewers, lots of trees and neighbors that watched out for us.
Nairobi in those day's was a rural area filled with farms, orchards and a few small villages. We went to school on our bicycles with no supervision and came home without babysitters and daycares, it was a different world.

My parents worked hard and bought their first home in Nairobi for about £15,000. I paid more than that for my current car!
During those days people still believed some of what the government said and the US Food Pyramid was thought to be the way to go nutritionally. Milk and Wonder bread were King.
We were happy kids with little money and vivid imaginations. We made skateboards out of pieces of wood and old roller-skate wheels and race tracks for dinky cars in the dirt.
Smoking cigarettes was still "Cool" and everyone did it but only after the age of 18. I started at age 16 with Marlboros. There was no such thing as healthier diet advice.

During my teen years I lived in London City and attended boarding School in Henley on Thames. I was an intelligent young Lad with an IQ of 164 and was very bored with the "Baby Sitting" mentality of the public school system so I left that all behind, Challenged and passed with 11 o' Levels and joined a trainee management programme with Trust House Forte.
As I grew older I got a little smarter and quit smoking. At that time I really had no concept of what healthy living meant. Like most of us I was young and did not think much about the long term consequences of my lifestyle.

At about age 28 I got interested in Health and eventually met a group of people teaching Spirituality and became a Manager of a vegetarian Church Restaurant in Piccadilly London. But i wanted to know more about food and how it affects us.
I trained hard 5 to 7 nights a week and attended college to become a Chef for three years while working full time as a manager.

In 2000 i was diagnosed with diabetes type 2 and have since then with diet and nutritional supplements been able to control my sugar counts and am looking forward to a much healthier future as i have come of metformin which i thought i would have to take the rest of my life. Also i no longer take my blood pressure tablets and symvastatin which i also thought i would take the reast of my life.I have been drug free since May 2006

As I progressed in my training, one of the requirements was to learn about diet and begin to incorporate "Good Dietary Practices" in my life. That's what started the ball rolling for me and I have been seeking knowledge about healthy living ever since and now after many years research have found a balance and refreshing new lease of life .

I am now a full time network marketer and enjoy a good lifstyle and time to do the things i like. I have joined a couple of good affiliate businesses and am helping others make money.
