Hi folks,

I have a dongle from Three (3), and love it. Recently bought a MiFi unit which is awesome.

I'm nearing the end of my contract with Three, on an 18month deal), and need to ring them to upgrade my tarriff, as I'm currently paying £15 for 5GB data per month. I've now seen that for £15 you get 15GB. I obviously want this!

Trouble is, when you try and ring their customer service line, you need the phone number of the dongle before you talk to a human, and I have no idea what mine is! I've thrown the original packaging where it was on, and I can't find a way to locate through the software on my Mac.

Can anyone tell me where I can locate the number of my dongle so I can sort out a new tarriff with them, and even speak to a human at Three?

Muchos gracias.

Have a look on the My3 website, it might be on there. Other option is take the card out of the dongle, put it in a 3 mobile and ring a phone.

Off to look at my software now and see if I can find my number.

It's on your bill.

I've got the same, and that's the only place I could find it.

Thanks for that. Unfortunately don't have a three phone! But yes, good idea in principle.

The one thing which is a problem the software for Mac, 3 Connect, is different looking to that on PC, so no easy access to view SMS that can pop through to it that I can see, whereas it seems very simple on PC. Weird. If you do find anything, very interested to hear!

I don't actually get paper bills through, but will try and find a login for the My3 thing, don't think I've ever logged into it before.

Other option is to go into the 3 Wifi Connection on your Mac and send a new text message to your mobile, should show up number that way.

Looks like it has to be connected via the usb cable to do this and my usb is back in the office - sorry!

Yeah had a look for that yesterday but can't actually find an option for sending/receiving texts which is a shame. Mac software that comes with it is for some reason different to PC's.

Can you view the direct debit details on online banking? The reference number they quote there may be able to be used to identify it.

Ah, good plan. Just checked, but no joy unfortunately, just a long string of numbers as the ref. and no way to identify which bits could be the number lol

Richard, just rang three for you and there isnt a direct number, what he did say was you can ring up and use my mobile no to get past the switchboard side of things. Will send you it by PM. When you get past it hopefully will offer you the upgrade option, normally option 4. Hope this helps.

you could always take the sim card out and give them the serial number on it they will know from that.

Yeah will do that when I speak to them......the main problem was needing the phone number before you even got to speak to a human......
