I had a little gem of inspiration this week about how as an online community we can use the power of Twitter to leverage more business across the entire network. It's quite simple really and will have a massive impact for everybody if uptake is significant. If you are using a Twitter through a third party console such as Hootsuite or Tweetdeck set up a search stream for the following phrase.
"Can you recommend"
It will deliver all sorts of requests for help and the beauty of 4N is that if you are a member then you definitely know loads of people that you can recommend. So, when you see that there is a need fill it and this is the important bit not for yourself but for someone else. Pay it forward and it will come back to you the other way, much more effective than blowing your own trumpet as it will cement those relationships you already have and if we do it across the whole network we will all benefit. Like I say, simple but will be good for us all. |

This is an excellent idea - I have been thinking about search terms a lot Question though (I use Tweetdeck), if I surround that phrase with speech marks will it narrow the search for me? |

this will work on the main twitter site too is you use the search box on the right "can you recommend" worked for me?
