Shopping Genie

Having been approached more times than I care to remember from both people I know and people I dont I wanted to pass this info on, so that people can be warned about the shopping genie
The following link makes interesting reading. I am not saying that this report is a definitive guide about the genie, however I would be concerned if I was involved. All I say is that whenever somethings sounds to good to be true it usually is. The only way to make money is by putting effort in. |

Oh dear, oh dearie dearie dear:
What I found was an international get-rich-quick scheme, co-founded by two Americans, one a convicted fraudster who was previously involved in one of the biggest global pyramid schemes of all time, and whose latest scheme, according to an expert in Irish Law, "had many of the hallmarks of a pyramid promotional scheme". Where does the reward money come from, if not from new joiner's initial and ongoing membership fees? As soon as recruitment stops the whole thing will collapse as sure as day follows night. It's a ponzi, a pyramid scheme, but I suppose if you are happy to fleece your friends, family and network quickly enough, to build a temporary monthly revenue in excess of your fees before the inevitable collapse, then it could be a goer. I still think getting a proper job beats it though. Mark |

Mark Mark I am sure you have done detailed research to form a balanced opinion rather than just take something that you read and have followed all of the previous threads so no need to comment further on the report. Have you also noticed that there has been no follow up from any other paper or tv in ireland or the uk since this report, mmm strange. I also dont think many people in this forum are happy to fleece thier friends and family. I am full time in network marketing and also certain i am in a proper profession - I love Network marketing. Reports like these do not mention the great stories like a person in our team whos husband lost his " proper job" due to a back injury, she joined m.s.g. and has gone global, they were on the brink of losing there house - not any more -the income she is receiving has enabled them to keep the wolves away - " PROPER JOB " mmm - safe is the new risky. Alan, I have done plenty of research on MSG, just as I did on Cartel Client Review (not MLM) and Xocai Healthy Chocolate. MSG is a recruitment based scheme and like all before once the recruitment runs dry it will collapse. I see MLM as having two distinct camps: 1. Cost effective long-term distribution of good quality products via word of mouth 2. Temporary get rich quick "systems" without a tangible product. Mark |

I'm glad I AM!! Mind you, I've got real products to sell. I'm getting sick of being pitched on the Genie though. Next one who rings me will be getting a 2am phonecall extolling the virtues of Wikaniko |

1 person has called me. He will remain nameless and somehow thought that because we spoke about "marketing" a year ago and we're both in the business of "marketing" - it is a back stage pass to talk to waste my time about rubbish. I'm suprised that he has the nerve to be so cheeky to be honest. As a marketing professional, with his own product set, business, I've been sent a full pack of stuff that asks me to attend training things. I now know we do two different kinds of "internet marketing". I am thinking of a different word than "internet" marketing - I think it is jaded by self labelling people who don't understand right product, right place, right time. More like: any product, any place, your time, your money. |

Surely the overall message here is 'do your due diligence.' It takes a little time but saves a lot of heartache. And it applies whatever the potential business relationship is - not just to network opportunities. A credible company that can potentially deliver results will stand up to scrutiny. Simple. In the case of My Shopping Genie and in keeping with many I have been approached and actually passed on even doing due diligence on the basis that this service is already part of the basic Google tool-kit so I didn't quite understand what MSG was for (except making you feel bloated after a cheap Chinese takeaway |

I've had 2 more unsolicited e-mails this morning. This is about the 15th time... Hi Paul Many people get invited to check out many opportunities, the one I have actually had the most is U.W. as I am a property investor also, i have had letting agents approach me, people who do the gas safety check, I am part of many property networks and have been approached by numerous people from the various property networks and contacted cold also. I say that they are with a good company and thank them for the offer and its not for me, I would rather have the opportunity to say yes or no than not have it at all. I do agree - unsolicited emails is not the way to build a business - thats more like not work marketing rather than network marketing. Still i am sure some people get something from them sometimes. - Not the way I do it. Is that you on your photo ? if so what style of Martial arts do you do - I have done wtf Taekwondo for 27 years now - the older I get the faster I was. Regards |

Hi Alan I started Kickboxing earlier this year - my sons (4 & 8) did Taekwondo until their Club closed down. We found a new place to train and so I took it as an opportunity to get involved as well to try and get fitter and lose weight. The gym is no good to me as it's too easy to cheat, but being part of a class has pushed me. I grade for my green belt in December, and so far without really altering my diet or alcohol intake I have lost 1st 9lbs. And I feel brilliant! |
